Land Combat Vehicle System Project Support
XKG provided project management, report drafting, and quality assurance of committee submissions for the Combat Vehicle Program in Army Headquarters as Capability Sponsor for the Land 400, Land 907, and Land 8160 Projects. XKG supported the establishment of best practice governance of the Combat Vehicle Program.
Armoured Vehicle Facilities Project
XKG provided project management support to 50% design completion for the Armoured Vehicle Facilities Program that will house and support the Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle, Infantry Fighting Vehicle, M1A2 Abrams tank and Armoured Bridging and Breaching vehicles in Adelaide, Townsville, Brisbane, and Puckapunyal.
Victoria Police Digital Presence Project Management
XKG was engaged in mid-2020 by Victoria Police’s Information, Systems and Security Command (ISSC) to deliver a digital channel transformation project for a new engagement channel for internal and external stakeholders. XKG led and managed the transformation project consistent with the Victoria Police project management framework based on PRINCE2 disciplines and consistent with industry standards.
SEA 2400 Hydrographic Data Collection Capability Project Management
XKG provided project management support to the SEA 2400 project, increasing the Strategic Military Survey Capability of the RAN with the introduction of a new Hydrographic and Oceanographic survey vessel. The project includes the Hydro Scheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP) to address the realisation that there is a need to better understand the maritime domain for both defence and civilian purposes.
Implementation of IFS World ERP at Major Global Security Services Supplier
XKG steered the implementation of IFS World ERP at a major global security services company to 3000 users across multiple national entities. Business functions transformed included Logistics, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources. XKG’s support included project management, stakeholder engagement, training, and Go- Live support.
Land 1508, Special Forces Project Greyfin
XKG provided directed Special Forces capability assurance by providing and sustaining leading edge technology equipment. XKG developed allocated capability proposals (including requirements statements), as well as revising and improving the SO Capability Assurance Framework documents, specifically the sections that deal with stage 2 CPs. XKG developed briefs, presentations, and conducted working groups and meetings as required by SO Program Manager, DSOD and SOJ8. XKG provided support to the program sponsor and assisted in the development of project artefacts as directed.
Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Plan Palisade
XKG is to provide COMD 16 Avn Bde with an objective design, monitoring, evaluation and advice function for phases 4-6 of Plan PALISADE. This is through an independent, appropriately experienced, and trusted advisor in order to safely and effectively complete the transition of MRH90 into the 6th Aviation Regiment and assure an ongoing Special Operations Aviation (SOAvn) capability for Australia.
Scheduling for Defence Science & Technology
Under the supervision of Deputy Director Littoral Warfare S&T (DDLWST), and with support from DST activity leads and subject matter experts, XKG develops and maintains a master schedule in Microsoft Project of S&T activities within the DST LASS Branch, including budget and resource tracking. XKG was required to participate in project planning activities and become familiar with DST’s management information system APOLLO, and update all planning and resource information into APOLLO.
Organisational Change Management for Airlift Systems Program Office
XKG leads the consultation, planning and implementation of a change management process to transition the Aerospace Simulation Management Unit (ASMU) from Air Mobility & Tanker Program Office (AMTPO) to Airlift Systems Program Office (ALSPO). This includes workforce review of current ASMU team and current AMTPO footprint, nested in the context of executing the ASIST contract, to determine right-sized team to effectively execute ASIST for CoA. Output–ASIST Workforce Plan. XKG is responsible for preparing and executing the Organisational Change Plan including development of consultation and implementation artefacts.
Implementation and Management of Enterprise Tracking Management System (ETMS)
XKG was engaged to deliver the Implementation and Management of Enterprise Tracking Management System (ETMS). The Hardcat ETMS solution standardises processes around the issuing and returning of physical operational safety equipment such as firearms and automates the governance and compliance around these critical assets. XKG was able to understand the scope of the allocated projects, the key stakeholders and provide project management leadership and governance in accordance with PRINCE2 principles. Appropriate levels of governance were provided to ensure key project indicators were tracked, evaluated and reported on regularly.
Project Management and Project Scheduling for JP9711 Core Simulation Capability
XKG provided project and scheduling support to JP9711 (Project Target Core Simulation Capability) to realise a persistent, integrated and distributed managed simulation service. This underpins the Australian Defence Force with a single-service, joint, and Allied simulation-enabled collective training platform.
SEA 1442 Phase 5 Maritime Tactical C3 Sub Program Schedule Management
XKG supported Defence with a senior scheduler for the development and maintenance of the Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and WBS dictionary. XKG developed and maintained the project schedule including the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and associated resource allocation.
